All Sportube cases are blow molded from high-density polyethylene, which is strong, durable, and very lightweight. Each case is designed to protect valuable winter sports equipment during airline travel or shipping transport. The hard plastic shell offers superior protection over a soft bag and creates a shield around the equipment protecting. The hard-shell plastic doesn't tear and is resilient to dings and bangs. There are no buckles, zippers, or permanently attached straps to get ripped, torn, or broken. Therefore, it will hold up better and last much longer than a soft bag. All Sportube cases are fitted with heavy-duty rubber wheels making for an easy jouney while traveling. Pulling the SporTube through the airport or parking lot is now easier with the addition of the Easy Pull Attachment Point and the Easy Pull Handle. Sportube case are also supplied with a non-locking, TSA-compliant wire case pin, however they can be locked for overseas travel or when shipping. Additionally, SporTube can easily be strapped to any roof rack, protecting your equipment form road salt, dirt, and grime. All SporTube ski and snowboard cases include a five-year limited manufacturer's warranty.

These days it is cheaper to rent when you get to your destination than to fly with one of these things...however it did fit very comfortably, 2 pairs of skis, 2 pairs of poles, hats, mittens all the gear you need for your skiing experience. It would fit 3 pairs very easily but then you have to pack all the bulky clothing in your suit case....

This case is perfect for the price. I use it for traveling with filmmaking equipment and it's sturdy, rolls easily, and is cheaper than any other type of similar hard case. The best thing is it's really light so I can fill it with more equipment and still come in under the 70lb weight limit. My only dislikes were I had to order the front end carry handle separately (you need it for comfortable walking, but it really should just come standard with the case), and the little cotter pin you use to lock the case together was promptly lost by TSA the very first plane trip I went on. Unless Sporttube changes their design by attaching a small cable to the cotter pin, I suggest you add your own before taking it on any flights or you'll be walking with a loose case.

Used it for 2 snowboards, boots etc on a flight to Utah for a snowboard vacation. Easy to pack, thanks to the rolls on one side also easy to carry. Length varies easily. Protects all equipment nicely. Meets all expectations. No problems to report. Would buy it again and also recommend it if you want to travel and need protection for your stuff.

One of my favorite purchases. Gives you a real sense of security to
pack your valuable skis away and not worry about how the baggage handlers are throwing it around when you are not looking. A definite MUST for skiers using the airlines.

I got this sports tube to ship my RC sailplane adn glider when traveling.
Airlines are friendly when they see the sportube. TSA is cool woth it too.
After seeing how the baggage gorilla handling my sportube, I am glad that my toys are protected by the Sportube!
Becasue this rube can contract/expand to fit differnt lenght of articales, I put a 2"x1"x68" wood inside the tube to help the Metal-pin to prevent the tube from collapsing too far.
I love it.
