I own both Sigg waterbottles and Klean Kanteen. The opening at the top of Sigg's does not allow for ice unless it is really small and crushed. With very light use, the water bottle dented in several places and pulled away from the outer, clear seal. Klean Kanteen has a large top opening and has dropped many times without the evidence. It is just more durable. If you're looking for an extremely attractive bottle though, don't like ice and will use it infrequently, buy this one.
I bought the flower power one, and I love the artwork on it. The bottle is well made. My only issue is with the sport top. It is difficult to figure out, and not much water comes out when pushing down. My daughter's bottle has a simple twist top spout that looks very similar, but works much better.
I love Sigg water bottles. This design is great, although I perfer the standard black screw in top over this one- so I just put my old top on this bottle.
This Sigg bottle is a cute way of saving the planet, keeping yourself healthy and always having enough water. I love Sigg bottles, but the sports drinking cap is funny to use- pressure must be applied to drink out of the bottle. If your hands are generally clean, this is an okay mechanism but... I would rather not be out and about with my fingers anywhere near my water bottle cap. It was troubling to find leakage the second time I used the bottle/cap together, but I assume it was just the way I screwed on the top, as it has not happened again. Sigg is great, but opt for a different bottle top unless you are running or cycling.
This is a great bottle. It keeps cold drinks cooler longer than other alternatives to plastic bottles. It has a cute design. It is the right size for carrying all over the place.
The only problem is the "active" top. It's really hard to use. You have to push down on it and twist to open it. Then you have to push down on it the entire time you are drinking from it either with your fingers or with your mouth. Either way, you have to suck a little bit to get the water to come out. No matter how hard you suck, the water doesn't come out fast enough and it feels like you're sucking on a baby bottle or a sippy cup. Probably fine for kids, but not for me. I would suggest adults who can drink from a bottle without spilling it all over themselves get the top that just unscrews because I end up just unscrewing the whole top when I want to take a drink anyway.
The bottles can get dented if they are dropped on a hard surface or banged up against something but I read that this doesn't affect the proprietary SIGG lining that protects your beverage from coming into contact with the aluminium, so it's just a cosmetic defect and doesn't really bother me.
Cleaning the bottle is easy with regular soapy water and a soft brush designed for reaching into the bottom of glasses. Just don't use a hard-bristled brush because it can damage the lining.
Sigg bottles are great! Water tastes clean and fresh. Easy to clean the bottle and good for Mother Earth!! Highly recommend!
This product was very attractive and appeared to be quite useful, but I didn't order it, and was puzzled when it arrived in the mail. Since I do not have a current need for the product, it was returned. I will, however, recommend Sigg water bottles to friends and family. :o)
It is a really cute water bottle, but the sports top is a little weird so maybe buy the other top.
I really like this bottle. The only drawback is the narrow opening. It makes it hard to clean although they do sell a bottle brush specifically for this which I haven't purchased yet.
I think the water tastes great- I was worried about a metallic taste but so far it has been great
how do they justify $45? i got the same design for my 16 oz for $20 at whole foods...

I really do love this water bottle, the mouth of the bottle is wide and has a nice shape, it's really easy to drink out of and best of all no more plastic bottles to deal with which is great for the enviroment... the exterior of the bottle is very attractive.... I get lots of comments about it. Well worth the money.
I was actually just purchasing a replacement for my bottle that got stolen with some other stuff from my car, and it never disappoints. It's a little pricey, but no more so than 20 or so bottles of water and it gets way more use and is better for the environment. I have never found a metal-like taste with any of my SIGG bottles, and I love the looped cap because I can just hook my finger around it.

Sigg is great it has given me a water bottle I can take with me that is not plastic or made in China! I looked and looked for something but it was all Chinese if I wanted Stainless Steel. A friend told me about Sigg's Aluminum bottles made in Switzerland and I am thrilled with my purchase.
I have 4 children, and at the beginning of the school year, I bought a Sigg bottle for each kid. They use only water in them and don't freeze/heat them. Their friends at the lunch table love them too. I will be replacing one son's bottle this week, but only because he slammed it in the car door (accidentally). :) I will be buying another Sigg bottle. These are great, no aftertaste. I keep one in the car, and even after a few days the water tastes fine.
I bought this bottle (Spotted Pride) several months ago and couldn't be happier. It doesn't hold a lot of water, but it's a great size to carry around. Unlike the plastic bottles I've had before, there is no taste to the water I keep in it. Well worth the price. I believe that if you need/want a water bottle, this is the one.
I love the way Sigg bottles look, and I wish more water bottles looked as nice as these. However, I ran into a couple of problems:
1) After much hassle, I found out that the 'dent' on the bottom of the bottle is supposed to be there. It's the result of the manufacturing process and does not at all affect the functionality of the bottle. I didn't know this and thought that there was a defect in the bottles I was receiving, when it's really not a defect at all.
2) When drinking from the bottle, I feel a subtle burning sensation in my throat. At first, I wasn't sure whether or not this was coming from the bottle, but after repeated use, I think it is. One other reviewer had a similar comment. The water tastes fine, but Sigg does not publish exactly what is in the enamel on the inside of the bottle because it is proprietary. In fact, they advise that you don't use the bottle for long term storage. Hmm, what happens after long term storage? Does the enamel affect the water? Is this similar to the reason for why there is an expiration date on commercial bottled water?
I was enthusiastic at first about Sigg bottles, and if it were not for the burning sensation in my throat, I would probably use mine. Instead, I'm going to try a different bottle.
My 12 yo daughter loves her bottle, my 14 yo son refuses to use his. He claims its tinny - she loves hers.
Its part of the eco thing to do, less plastic bottles to the land fill. However people with arthritis in their hands have to be carefull on how tight they close it because it can be hard to open.Sigg Traveler Classic Water Bottle (1.0-Liters)
We got two Sigg bottles and one started to leak. Customer service for Sigg was rude, accusatory and impossible to deal with. They blamed me for dropping it, putting it in the freezer, or anything they could think of. The truth is, that it is an inferior product. We returned it after much hassle and bought Greenfeet bottles instead, which are much better overall. My suggestion, stay away from all Sigg products, they really stink and are overpriced. Greenfeet offers a much better and sturdier product.
I love my sigg bottles. I love that they are eco-friendly and safe to use--compared to many plastic bottles out there that are made with BPA (bisphenol a). If you're not familiar with BPA, do some research. Simply put, it's bad for you. So stainless steel bottles like Sigg bottles are the way to go. Sigg bottles are pretty easy to clean too. If you purchase Sigg's special brush set, it's even easier to clean. I also love the designs and so do my friends and co-workers. So I gave some Sigg bottles out for Xmas presents last year.
