I recently bought a set of 6 sticks, which is sort of a strange number, actually. I wish I had bought the set of 8 because now my wife is stealing MY sticks to use with her soccer team! These work great as goal markers for practice and scrimmages, and if you buy chance have access to goals, they make great corner markers as well. They really beat using cones for goal markers because kids can get a sense of height and they don't get confused with all of the other cones laying out the practice area. I have not tried them for agility drills, etc., but this is another reason I wish I had gotten 8 of them. More flexibility! :) The only downside is that they won't be very usable with hard ground. The shafts are thick plastic, and plenty strong for pushing the sticks into "yard quality" turf or slightly firmer. Forget it with hard ground. You can't hammer them in because the plastic would shatter, so you make due. If you will be using these on hard fields, you may want to get one of the sets that use bottom weights instead of spikes.

I have been wanting to get a set of these for my sons to use when practicing various sports - but mostly for soccer. But I have been frustrated because the coaching sticks are often over $100 for a set of six. I was pleased to see this set but hesitant to order them. When I received them I was impressed - they are perfect for my needs. I don't know that they would stand up to a team practicing with them - it is clear that they will break if abused. But they are perfect for use in the backyard by the boys a couple of times a week. I expect them to last a long time. Plus, with a little bit of creativity, there a ton of things you can use them for. For example, I have set them up as a wall for my son to practice shots on goal so he has to curve the ball around the wall. Obviously, he can go shoot over the goal - but I want him to practice low shots and they are perfect for this.

Used it for a few weeks now in many soccer drills for 8-9 years old kids practices. Perfect weight and height, good caring bag. Kids love the bright orange color. Very good product overall.
