I like the product. This is the third unit I have purchased. However, the bottom tip of one of the units I purchased for my son broke off when his brother dragged the bike sideways with the kickstand down. I had hoped for more from a heavy duty product but the aluminum seemed to be brittle. The metal did not yield and bend it fractured.

This bike Rear Mount Kickstand is worth the money. I have had trouble keeping my bike from tipping over since I got it. I even bought a ajustable kickstand and it still would not stand up, it was just too heavy in front but this kickstand fixed my problems. I love it, and now my husband wants one too. It is worth my money and I would buy it again.

The Greenfield Rear Mount Kickstand was the envy of both adult Scouters and youth Boy Scouts on our Troop's High Adventure Bike Trek from Cumberland, Maryland to Washington, DC on the C&O Canal in late June.
We converted "40 lb" kitty liter containers to saddle bags (panniers for gear and food) that we could hang on our rear rack. Plus on top of the rack, we usually had tents, sleeping bags, etc. Those with conventional kick stands had problems with their bikes often falling over or requiring additional external support. Those of us with rear stands with the rubber foot did not experience trouble, but rather found the kickstand to provide real stability on a variety of surfaces we encountered (compacted and soft dirt, gravel, mud, asphalt, concrete, brick, etc.) However, by the end of the 200+ mile ride over 4.5 days, the metal leg had pushed through the bottom of the rubber foot. Just ordered a supply of rubber feet (cost reasonable) for my next outing.
This sturdy kickstand was a well worthwhile investment for converting my mountain bike (hardtail Trek 800) into trail/expedition camping bike.

This is the best rear kickstand to utilize for bicycles that support more than your average loads. As mentioned by one reviewer...if you are not careful you can snap it. You know how I know? It happen to me too. Let me say that this is my second kickstand...so I avoided doing that again.I was still able to use the "broken" kickstand all during the winter months here in Europe. The roads are heavily salted here so beware and do proper maintenance on the kickstand. You know why? That shiny "black" finish will chip off and you are left with gray.I would also recommend this kickstand for "motorized" bicycles where the engine is mounted in the rear.

Having installed hundreds of these while I was working in the bike shop, I can attest that these are the most durable and lightweight kickstands on the market, not to mention very easy to install. I have one installed on my touring/commuting bike and it will easily hold my bike upright, even with a set of fully-loaded panniers on board... highly recommended!
