Double layer offset, differential cut construction eliminates cold spots. Easy Access Drawcords with Barrel Lock Closures permit closure of drawcords on hood and storm collar. The cords are either flat or round, allowing users to easily adjust storm collars and hoods in low light situations. Hook and Loop Closures provide firm closure of the bag and prevent zippers from separating or opening. Anti-Snag Zipper Protection is sewn along the draft tube and zipper to ensure reliable zipper operation. Internal Collars are baffles sewn to the liner, used to prevent heat loss from the neck and shoulders. Utility Pockets inside the bag are used to store small items like car keys, flashlights, and cell phones, so they'll be close at hand. Draft Tubes are baffles sewn adjacent to the zipper to keep cold air out and prevent heat loss through the zipper coils. Weather Wedge is a small piece of triangular fabric that is sewn at the base of the zipper to prevent heat loss at the zipper's bottom. This also reduces stress at the point where the zipper is sewn for greater durability. Compression stuff sack included.

I'm a Scoutmaster and I have a fairly new mummy bag that I couldn't stand anymore because it is so restrictive. I have a rectangular bag that is not too warm but I like its roominess. I do like the drawstring of the mummy bag for obvious reasons. So, I was interested in a rectangular bag with a draw string such as this Slumberjack. Saw this oversized Esplanade and ordered the -20 version. Tried it out on a freezing January night at our Boy Scout Klondike Derby. This bag was very comfortable, warm and cosy. I dug a trench for a snow shelter. No tent, no tarp over me just dug to the bare earth set a tarp down, then place pads and this bag in the trench over the tarp and pads. Crawled inside. Best sleeping bag for under the stars type snow camp. Later, it started to freeze on every exposed surface so I cinched the draw string down to about a 2 inch diameter hole around my nose. Got a bit cold in the early morning hours when it got down to about 1 degree (fa.). I'd use a fleece liner next time.
I'm looking at picking up the +20 degree Esplanade for a summer bag. Love that it has a pocket for my watch, phone, ring, etc. Only complaint, the stuff sac will not close all the way tight but it did close tight enough to call it good. Still love the bag that is the part that we sleep in right?
Our troop received the most innovative snow shelter award the next day (half of our troop slept in a trench) so I'd say it was worth getting this bag and putting it through its paces. Because of this bag I now look forward to winter scout camps. Hope this review helps.

I bought this bag 3 years ago to use on a late winter/early fall tent trip. At -20, this bag easily handles temperatures near 0 with comfort. One night I slept in it, it was about 5 degrees, slept in my underwear and was fine. Much better than the traditional mummy sleeping bags, where you are very confined and cannot move. This bag is wide enough to flip around and still stay comfortable. I bought two more for relatives that go on the trip with me and they love it too. I would definitely recommend.

To my surprise sleeping bag arrive professionally wrapped in its own carrying case. Smart design and craftsmanship, rooming and spaces. I found carry case much too tight for sleeping bag to go back into after use. I felt design should allow more space for easy usability overall; product fits my needs. Found product comfortable and satisfying for trips in the near future.

There are so many great features to this bag, so let me list some of my favorites as an experienced camper.
- Warm interior fabric isn't ice cold when you crawl in like other nylon bags.
- Plenty of room. Especially important since I am tall and roll around a lot. I always felt constricted and tangled up in my mummy bag, but I can lay in this bag and move around freely. I can lay on my side with my legs bent and have the room to do it without the bag twisting around my legs.
- Compact storage.
- High quality materials.
- Sturdy zipper.
- PRICE - how's they do it all for so cheap?!?
The only "bad" thing about this bag is it's weight, but I didn't want it for hiking so it's not an issue for me. It's light for what you get, but not something I'd want to lug around for days.

It is warm enough, but the zipper on the top is not resonable, it hurt my face several times when I am using it.
